“Both strength and humility are required to make good art.”
– The Vein of Gold, by Julia Cameron
(Found this in my notes today – might be a paraphrase.)
I want to make good art.
What I’ve learned so far is that doing so will require work – hours and hours of work whether you’re feeling wildly confident or feeling absolutely resolved to quit. And it will take graciousness and a humbly-postured heart.
But there is so, SO much I don’t know about weaving creativity into life and work. With lovely people and notebooks and cameras and film and Word, I’ll keep learning.
